Enables you to specify any checks you want the system to make to prevent erroneous data being entered or calculated for a pay element, for both employee and employer values.

Note: The fields in this screen that are enabled depend on the setting of the Ees/Ers Indicator field in Maintain Pay Element Definition. If this field is set to C, only the Ers Validation fields are enabled, if set to B, all the fields are enabled, and if left blank, then only the Ees Validation fields are enabled.

Ees Validation

Minimum, Maximum Input

Enter the minimum and maximum input values allowed for this pay element. The system does not permit a value to be entered for an employee that is either below the Minimum Input value or above the Maximum Input value. The Minimum Input value must be less than the Maximum Input value.

Minimum, Maximum Calc

Enter the minimum and maximum expected calculated values for this pay element. If the system calculates a value for this pay element that is either below this Minimum Calculated Value or above this Maximum Calculated Value, then a warning is given on the Calculated Exceptions Report. (The Minimum Calc value must be less than the Maximum Calc value.) If the system calculates a value greater than the Maximum Calc value, it replaces it with the Maximum Calc value – Maximum Calc ‘caps’ the value.

Reference Number Template

Enter the ID of the template to be used for reference number validation.

Ers Validation
