Enables you can create components, link components to existing training courses and associate a DOCLINK folder.

Note: Once a component has been attached to an employee, you can only amend the obsolete date.

Selection

Comp ID

Enter the ID of the component that you want to maintain, or select one from the drop-down list.

If the component does not exist, a prompt is displayed allowing you to create the new component.

General

Type

Enter the type of component, or select one from the drop-down list. The options are set up in the QALTYP narrative category.

Description

Enter a description of the component.

Obsolete Date

Enter the date on which this component becomes obsolete, if applicable.

Course

Enter the ID of the training course associated with this component, or select one by clicking window to display Course Selection - Simple.

Doclink Path

Enter the path of the DOCLINK folder associated with the component, relative to the employee directory and excluding the final slash. For example, /NVQ/UNIT1, therefore, if the employee directory for employee EMP001 is C:/DOCLINK/EMPLOYEE/EMP001, the path for the qualifications would be C:/DOCLINK/EMPLOYEE/EMP001/NVQ/UNIT1

Doclink Add Path

Enter the full path of the DOCLINK folder if is located elsewhere, for example, this could point to an equivalent URL location.

Mandatory

Enter Y if this is a mandatory component of the qualification.
