are part of the package for a vacancy. For example, employment benefits
include items such as salary, bonus and pension.
Paging Area
Benefit ID
Enter the ID of the employment benefit that you want to create.
Short
Enter the short description of the employment benefit.
Long Description
Enter the long description of the employment benefit.

Display Text
Enter the text that you want displayed for the selected
employment benefit.
Benefit Type
Enter the type of benefit, or select one from the drop-down
list. The options are set up in the EBENTP
narrative category.
Benefit Code
The entry required in this field varies depending on the
type of benefit selected in the Benefit
Type field:
- If you selected a Numeric
type benefit - enter the ID of the N
type pay element associated with this employment benefit, or select one
by clicking window to display Pay
Element Selection.
- If you selected an Alphanumeric
type benefit - enter the ID of the benefit code associated with this employment
benefit, or select one from the drop-down list. The options are set up in the EBENCD narrative category.
Range Required
Only applicable to Numeric type benefits. Enter Y to indicate a range is required for
the selected employment benefit, for example, a minimum and maximum salary
range.
Obsolete Date
Enter the date on which this employment benefit becomes
obsolete, if applicable.
Note: The following two fields are only relevant if you use Web Recruitment, and are mutually exclusive. Therefore you can include the benefit in the salary package or in the salary package (inc benefits).
Salary
Enter Y to include this benefit in the employee’s salary package. This would apply to benefits such as a London weighting. The value, or the minimum and maximum values for this benefit are included in the salary’s value, or minimum and maximum values used when searching for vacancies in Web Recruitment.
Salary Incl. Ben.
Enter Y to include this benefit in the employee’s salary package (inc benefits). This would apply to benefits such as a bonus. The value, or the minimum and maximum values for this benefit are included in the salary (inc benefits) value, or minimum and maximum values used when searching for vacancies in Web Recruitment.
Default Benefit Desc
Enter free text to describe the selected benefit. This description is used as the default when this benefit is included in a benefits package.
