Enables you to record the change in status of an applicant.

All statuses have a priority associated with them, to indicate the order in which they should be assigned to applications. For example, a status that is assigned to a new application, such as ‘Application Form Received’, has a low priority, e.g. 100. Later statuses, such as ‘Interview Arranged’, have a medium priority, e.g. 400. Statuses assigned to applications towards the end of their life cycle, such as ‘Awaiting Transfer to HR System’, have a high status, e.g. 900.

General

Status Code

Enter the status code of the new status you want to assign to the applicant or select one by clicking WINDOW to display Status Details. Although you can assign a status to applications with a lower priority than one they have already been assigned, the current status is the one with the highest priority.

Status Date

Enter the date that this status was assigned to the applicant. The current date is offered to you as the default entry; either accept this or overtype it with a different date you require.

Internal Letter Code, Version

Request an employee letter or memo that you want to generate as a result of the internal applicant being assigned the new status. The default standard letter for the selected applicant status is displayed as the default entry. This can be overwritten by entering a different letter code or selecting one by clicking WINDOW to display Select Standard Letter.

The Version field displays the version number of the letter selected.

The requested letter is generated and copied to the standard letters request file.

Email ID

Request that an email is automatically generated as a result of the status being assigned. The default email for the selected application status is displayed as the default entry. This can be overwritten by entering a different email code or by selecting one from the drop-down list.

External Letter Code, Version

Request an applicant letter or memo that you want to generate as a result of the applicant being assigned the new status. The default standard letter for the selected application status is displayed as the default entry. This can be overwritten by entering a different letter code or selecting one by clicking WINDOW to display Select Standard Letter.

Enter a rejection code to indicate the reason for an application being rejected, if applicable, or select one from the drop-down list. The options are set up in the REJREA narrative category.
