Enables you to set up the various types of appraisals that your organisation may want to carry out – for example, ‘annual’, ‘probationary’, ‘performance-related pay’.

General

Type

Enter the name of the appraisal.

Description

Enter a description to clearly identify the appraisal.

Occ

Enter the maximum number of times an employee can have this appraisal. For example, if the appraisal is only ever carried out once, enter 1. Leave this field blank if the appraisal is ongoing and continues regularly until the employee leaves the organisation.

Time, Unit

Enter a value and a unit to indicate the frequency of the appraisal. For example, if the appraisal is going to be performed twice a year, enter 2 in this field and Y (years) in the Units field.

Code

Enter the code of the standard letter that you want printed at the same time as the appraisal form, or select one by clicking window to display Select Standard Letter. The selected standard letter should provide instructions for completing the form, or for information for the appraiser or employee.

Ver

Enter the version of the standard letter you require.

Sect

Click WINDOW to display Appraisal Sections, where you can select the sections you want to include on the appraisal form.

Posts

Click WINDOW to display Appraisal Posts, where you can select the posts to which this appraisal applies, if you want to restrict the posts.

N

Click window to display Maintain Note Detail, where you can enter any notes or comments you want to record.

Click EXPAND to display the following fields:

Long Desc

Defaults to the short description of the appraisal type. Enter a new description, up to a maximum of 40 characters, if required.

eForm

Click window to display eForm where you can attach an eForm to be used in the appraisal process.
