Holiday Entitlement Pro Rata
All functions that calculate holiday entitlement have been changed to pro rata entitlement using the following formula:
Entitlement = FTE * Full Entitlement * Part Period
where:
- Whole Period is the length of the period between the start and end dates of the entitlement.
- Part Period is the length of the period between the period where the FTE changes.
- FTE is the Weeks Per Year (WPY) FTE figure.
The length of the period is calculated in days, weeks, months, or quarters, depending on the apportionment type set in the Pro Rata field in Holiday Entitlement Details.
Note: Changes to the employee’s FTE could affect holiday entitlement. The entitlement should be recalculated when FTE changes.
