Category Entitlement Detail
Enables you to enter details for the two entitlement categories.
Category-based entitlements have two entitlement pots instead of the one. Usually one pot is used for sickness, while the other one is used for hospitalisation. The entitlement is accrued against category 1 while category 2 only starts accruing when the category 1 entitlement reaches its maximum balance. However, the entitlement between each pot can be shared.
Note: Once a category reaches its maximum entitlement balance, it can only re-start accruing when entitlement units are taken and the remaining balance falls below the maximum.
Category 1, Category 2
Category Description
Enter the category description which is used to identify the category from which the entitlement is taken when processing an absence.
Maximum Remaining Balance
Enter the maximum entitlement balance the category can accrue. This is calculated by adding extra and C\Fwd entitlements to the accrued entitlement, and then deducting the entitlements taken or used.
Can Use Entitlement from Category X
Select this check box to indicate that this category can use entitlement from the other category when the remaining entitlement is exhausted.
Cap Date
This field is only enabled if one category is in use. Enter the cap date to use for remaining entitlements. When a cap date is specified, the capping of entitlement that is usually applied when the entitlement is updated, is instead applied at the end of the pay period in which the cap date falls.
