Enables you to link a Benefit Deduction Scheme to the selected Absence Parameter and maintain options as to how the deduction will be made.

To access this window, enter fast path HR195S2 and select the Parameter ID, then select Special Rules in the navigation panel and window in to the Non-UK field.

General

Apply SWB Deductions

Select this check box to apply Statutory Work Benefit deductions to the Absence Parameter. This check box is mutually exclusive with the Apply Maternity / Adoption Deductions check box.

Apply Maternity/Adoption Deductions

Select this check box to apply Maternity / Adoption deductions to the Absence Parameter. This check box is mutually exclusive with the Apply SWB Deductions check box.

Paternity Related Absence

Select this check box to indicate that the Maternity / Adoption deduction applies to a Paternity related absence. Note the Due/Matching date is still mandatory for Paternity absences.

Deduction Scheme

Enter the Deduction Scheme ID to link to the Absence Parameter or select one from the drop-down list

Deduction Pay Element

Enter a pay element ID to be used for the deduction or click window to select a pay element. This must be a Normal type pay element.

Suppress Deduction if below Full Entitlement

Select this check box to prevent deductions for this Absence Parameter if the employee is below their full entitlement.

Calculate Service using Due/Matching Date

Select this check box to calculate the service using the due/matching date entered.

Republic of Ireland

Occupational Pattern differs to Benefit Deduction

Select this check box to indicate that the occupational maternity, paternity, adoption, or sickness pattern differs from the benefit deduction pattern.

Check PRSI Class for Benefit Exclusion

Select this check box to indicate the pay-related social insurance (PRSI) class should be checked for benefit exclusion.

Apply SSL

Select this check box to indicate that the statutory sick leave (SSL) needs to be calculated for sickness. The Apply SSL check box is only available once the Apply SWB Deductions check box is set.

Note: You'll also need to set the Occupational Pattern differs to Benefit Deduction Pattern check box so that an absence record isn't rejected for a rollback absence (sickness).

Shared Parental Leave

Select this check box to indicate that the parental allowance applies to the absences processed using the same absence parameter. This is for Jersey legislation only.

Max No of Weeks before Suppressing Deduction

Enter the maximum number of weeks before suppressing the benefit deduction for maternity, adoption or paternity.
