Enables you to maintain the Pay Elements associated with a specific Salary Sacrifice Scheme, their processing priority and any probation period required before deductions can be made using each pay element.

Display only. Displays the Scheme ID and Description for the Salary Sacrifice Scheme

Paging Area

PE ID

Display only. Displays the ID of the Pay Element.

Description

Display only. Displays the description of the Pay Element.

Sal Sac PE

Display only. Displays the linked Pay Element used to hold the sacrificed amount.

Priority

Enter the deduction priority for the pay element in this Salary Sacrifice Scheme between 0 and 99. Priority 1 Pay elements will be deducted first in the calculate, followed by priority 2 etc.

Note: If several pay elements have the same priority, they will be processed according to the deduction priority defined against the pay element definition. If these are the same, they will be processed in pay element code order.

Probation

Enter the length and units (Days, Weeks or Months) of any probation period required before salary sacrifice becomes applicable for this pay element. Alternatively, enter P to enable the Pay Frequency Probation Periods field.

Pay Frequency Probation

Click window to open Pay Frequency Probation Periods, allowing you to maintain the number of periods for each pay frequency to use when determining the probation period.

NI Saving %age

Enter the percentage amount of the employer’s National Insurance savings to be generated as a ‘top up’ payment and the pay element to be used. This must be a ‘N’ type employers only pay element.

Employer Funded

Select this check box to indicate that the element is employer funded when performing salary sacrifice for employees on parental leave. The associated pay element will be used instead of the actual deduction pay element to record the amount of the deduction. This must be a ‘N’ type employers only pay element.

Non Sal Sac %age

Enter the percentage amount to be deducted if an employee deduction is not eligible for salary sacrifice.

Only Deduct if Sal Sac

Select this check box to indicate that if an element is not eligible for salary sacrifice then no deduction will be made.
