Enables you to select and upload a set of Parental Leave data from a spreadsheet, which has been saved as a comma-separated values (CSV) file. You can validate the CSV file before updating the database, if required.

The types of files that can be uploaded are:

The CSV file must be structured using row and column keywords to map columns to parental leave detail fields. The column keywords to use depend on the type of file to be uploaded:

Note: It is possible to load a CSV file for each of the three types in the same action. However, as KIT/SPLIT data refers to information that is populated after processing an absence, if the KIT/SPLIT data to be loaded refers to entries being added in the Parental leave or Shared Parental Leave files, it is recommended that the KIT/SPLIT file be uploaded separately after processing the Parental / Shared Parental leave.

Note: When loading a Parental Leave absence which contains multiple records (E.g. Maternity and one or more periods of shared parental leave), records that are wholly or partially paid should be loaded using a Leave Status <LVSTAT> of 'P'. The records within the absence that are wholly unpaid should be loaded with a Leave Status <LVSTAT> of 'E' or a blank status. The Leave Status <LVSTAT> 'C' should be used only for single record absences that are fully complete.
