Employee Rates Without Post
If the employee is paid on an hourly rate basis, and you do not maintain employee post details on the system, use this option to record the employee’s hourly rate of pay for basic and overtime working for each post occupied.
Note: If it is your organisation’s policy to set up hourly rates against pay elements, it is not necessary to use this option.
General
Start Date
Enter the date on which the rates become effective.
End Date
Enter the date on which the rates cease to be effective, if applicable.
Basic Rate
Enter the basic hourly rate that applies, if the employee is paid by the hour (£ per hour). For example, if the rate is £8 per hour, enter 8.
O/Time 1
If the employee is entitled to paid overtime, enter the rate or rates that apply (in £ per hour).
O/Time 2
If the employee is entitled to overtime at a rate different to that recorded against O/Time 1 at certain times, enter the rate or rates that apply (in £ per hour). For example, you might use O/Time 1 to record payment for Saturday working e.g. at time and a half, and O/Time 2 for Sunday working e.g. at double time.
