Enables you to link a listed pay element to an employee.

General

Copy or Point

Determines how information, such as rates, amounts and formulae, that was previously attached to the pay element is handled.

Enter one of the following:

C	Copies the information to the employee. This allows you to amend the pay element details via the employee, however this can result in different details linked to the pay element for different employees.
P	Links the employee to the information held for the pay element. This does not allow you to amend the pay element details via the employee, but ensures that any changes made to the pay element are automatically applied to all linked employees.

Note: You cannot point an employee to information from grade-related pay elements; you must use ‘copy’ instead.

Start Date

Enter the date from which the pay element becomes effective for the employee. The default is the date when the pay element was linked to the post.
