Benefit Calculation (Single)
Enables you to run a single benefit calculation for an individual member.
Membership Period
From, To
The start and end date of the selected membership period. If more than one membership period exists for the selected member, Select Membership Period is displayed where you can select the relevant membership period.
Calculation
Calc. Type
Enter A (Actual) or E (Estimate) to indicate the type of benefit calculation.
Calculation
Enter a calculation type code or select one by clicking WINDOW to display Benefit Calculation Selection.
Age
Enter the member age for which you want to produce the benefit quotation. If required, you can skip this field and instead enter an effective date in the next field.
Effective Date
Enter the date when the calculation is to be applied. For example, if a refund of contributions calculation is to be run, the effective date is likely to be the member’s leaving date. If the calculation is for a normal retirement, the effective date would be the date the member retires, not the date when the calculation was run.
If you made an entry in the Age field, this field defaults to the date when the member reaches the age you entered.
When you enter a date, Valid Status Selection for Benefit Calculation is displayed, where you select the pension statuses for which you want to run the calculation.
Report
Display/Print
Select the check box against each report you want to display / print. There are four reports available: the Calculation Warnings Report, the Calculation Errors Report, the Calculation Detail Report and the Calculation Summary Report.
Click the Run Calculation button to run the single benefit calculation for the selected member.
When the calculation has finished and the displays or reports have been generated, Benefit Calculation - Additional Actions is displayed.
