Enables you to create and maintain basic pension scheme details against a membership period. These basic details include the scheme code, the start/end dates for the membership period, and the current pension status for the scheme.

Maintain Scheme Details (window) provides summary information details for the scheme. It also provides access via the Detail field to the Maintain Scheme Details screen.

General

Membership Period

Display only. Currently selected membership period.

Scheme Code

Enter the pension scheme code to which the member belongs. Alternatively, click WINDOW and select a scheme from the list displayed.

Scheme Group

Display only. Within the pensions hierarchy, pension schemes are linked to groups. The scheme group for the scheme is automatically displayed for you, based on the structure of the pensions hierarchy.

Start Date

Enter the start date when membership of the scheme begins. This date cannot be amended.

Each pension scheme has recorded against it a scheme start date and scheme close date. The start date you enter must not lie outside the valid pension scheme dates for the chosen scheme.

End Date

If you are manually recording an end date to the membership of the scheme, enter the date.

Status

At any point in time a scheme membership period is described by a pension status code. If a member’s pension details change, an alteration may also occur to the pension status.

Use the Status field to specify the pension status code applicable to the scheme for the selected scheme membership. To enter the code, click Window and complete Maintain Status Details.

Status Group

Pension statuses are grouped together in status groups, which are system-defined.

Detail

Display only. Click Window to display Maintain Scheme Details, providing additional scheme information.

Additional

Click EXPAND to display the full description of the pension scheme and its hierarchy group.
