Enables you to define system parameters used in the Employee Directory.

Path for Photo

Applies only to legacy MyView.

Enter the full path of the folder where the employee’s photos are stored on the web server. The employee’s photos should be saved using the employee number as the filename.

Photo Extension

Applies only to legacy MyView.

This field is only enabled if a path has been entered in the Path for Photograph field. Select the format of photos displayed in the Employee Directory from the drop-down list. The options are set up in the MVPHEX narrative category.

Note: The default value of GIF is used as the format type, if this field is left blank.

Note: You can only use one format type at any one time.

Format for Fullname

Applies only to legacy MyView.

Enter the format to use when displaying the employee's full name in the Employee Directory, Manager module and the Manager Recruitment module. You can enter text which is displayed as entered, and / or use the following strings to represent components of the employee's name as stored in ResourceLink:

%F	Forename
%S	Surname
%T	Title
%I	Initials
%K	Known As Forename

For example, for an employee called Jonathan Smith, known as Jon, the following entries in this field would give the following results:

In addition, the entry in this field determines the order in which employees are displayed in the Manager module and the Manager Recruitment module. For example, if this field has %S %F, employees are sorted in surname order and their names are displayed in the format; surname, first name. You can change the order in which the employees are displayed, by changing the entry in this field, for example, entering %K %S would sort the employees by their known as name.

Directory Active

Select this check box to activate the Employee Directory/Search in MyView. This is only available once an employee has signed into MyView.

Dimensions

This section only applies to legacy MyView.

Thumbnail

Enter the dimensions of the image that you are using as the thumbnail photo, which is displayed on the search results.

Photograph

Enter the dimensions of the image that you are using as the main photo displayed on the details page.

Button

This section only applies to legacy MyView.

Advanced Search

Click this button to display Employee Directory Advanced Search, where you can specify which fields are available when performing an advanced search.
