LDAP Parameters
Enables you to define the LDAP parameters used by the LDAP authentication method.
LDAP Parameters
Active Directory
Select this check box to use the active directory, which uses the user’s log in details to log in to MyView instead of the admin user details.
Note: If this check box is selected, the Administrator Username, Administrator Password and Base DN fields are disabled as they are not required.
LDAP Servers
Click window to display LDAP Servers, where you can maintain the URLs of the LDAP servers used for authentication.
LDAP Domain
Enter the LDAP domain used for authentication. The LDAP user name is formed using the user and the domain, for example if you enter mycompany.com in this field, then when user jsmith requires authentication, both values are concatenated to form the LDAP user name ‘jsmith@mycompany.com’.
Administrator Username
Enter a valid user name for the LDAP directory in case anonymous bind is not allowed.
Administrator Password
Enter a valid password for the LDAP directory in case anonymous bind is not allowed
Base DN(s)
Click window to display LDAP Base Domains, where you can specify all the required groups to which users of the system belong, in the order in which MyView should attempt to authenticate users.
Search Attributes
Click window to display LDAP Search Attributes, where you can specify the search attributes that identify the fields that contain the user ID, and therefore should be searched when authenticating a user.
Attempt Internal Auth
Select this check box if the system should attempt to log the employee in to MyView using the internal authentication method if the LDAP authentication method fails.
LDAP Username
Map Internally
Select this check box if you want to map the LDAP user names internally. If you select this option, you must maintain a mapping table which is accessed from the following field.
Mapping Table
Click window to display LDAP Mapping, where you can maintain the internal mapping table.
Map Via ID
Select this check box if you want to map LDAP user names against employee IDs in an alternative data source. If you select this option, you must configure the alternative data source.
In External Datasource
Select this check box if you want to map the LDAP user names externally. If you select this option, you must configure the external data source.
In LDAP, via attribute
Select this check box if you want to use an LDAP attribute for logging in. If you select this option, you must enter the LDAP attribute in the following field.
LDAP Attribute
Enter the name of the LDAP attribute that holds the employee numbers that are used for logging in transparently.
Bespoke / LDAP Auth
Bespoke / LDAP Authentication
Select this check box to use a bespoke authentication class to log into MyView. If you select this option, you must enter the authentication class in the following field.
Bespoke / LDAP Class
Enter the name of the authenticating class.
