Maintain Menus
The Maintain Menus screen (MD98S1) enables you to define and maintain the menus in use in the system. For each menu, you can choose what tasks and sub-menus you want it to include. Once a menu has been defined, it is then available for inclusion in the security profiles in use for the different types of operator who use the system.
Before using this screen, you should give careful consideration to the way you can group the tasks and link the menus that will be most helpful and intuitive to your users. You may find it helpful to draw a menu structure to get a visual picture of your proposed system structure before creating it.
Note: Whilst you can set up different menus for your different types of users, it may not be necessary to do so. If a user has access to a menu that contains tasks they are not authorised to use, these tasks are automatically omitted from the menu.
