Notification Settings

Notification Retention Days

Enter the number of days that notifications will remain visible to employees and managers. By default, this is set to 30 days but can be adjusted from 1 to 365.

Caution: If set to 1 day this could mean that a notification generated late in the afternoon to approve or reject a form, may disappear in the early hours of the following day, depending on when the scheduled task is run. Therefore we advise having a reasonable number configured.

Event

Displays all the notifications that are available to view in MyView as part of base data.

Description

The text for the notification header title which is displayed against each notification card. This can be overridden. This field is multi-lingual enabled so when a valid licence key is present you can enter in an alternate language description.

Note: Prior to ResourceLink 27, you were able to amend the notification header text in a narrative category NOTIFI. This narrative category has been removed. If you made any updates to the default entries these will have been copied to the new system control parameter area as part of the upgrade to ResourceLink 27.

Subscribe

By default, all the notifications will be switched on and users will see all these notifications visible in MyView Notifications. Deselect the check box to turn a notification off. You can choose to switch a notification off or on as required. Subscription settings operate at system level, so all users will see the notifications that are switched on.

Note: Unsubscribing from a notification will impact the creation of all new notifications of that specific type. Any notifications already generated will remain on file until the cleardown removes them when the number of days to retain them has been reached.
