Navigation Style Maintenance
Enables a navigational profile to be defined. A navigational profile consists of a number of definable settings for screen and keyboard elements. The elements can be defined on a system or operator basis, as required.
Selection
Style Name
Enter the ID of the navigation style that you want to maintain, or select one from the drop-down list.
If the navigational style does not exist, a prompt is displayed allowing you to create the new style.
Descriptions
Short Desc., Long Desc.
Enter a short and long description of the navigation style.
Styles
ResourceLink Theme
Select a ResourceLink theme, to be associated with the named style, from the drop-down list.
Tabbed Selection Screens
Select this check box to use the tabbed selection screens. These selection screens allow you to enter or search for an item within the same screen instead of using multiple windows.
Note: Tabbed selection screens are always used in the Web View module irrespective of this check box setting.
Key Mapping
Return = Next Screen
Enables the RETURN key to be mapped to the Next button (next screen in task list).
Return = Update Record
Enables the RETURN key to be mapped to the Commit button.
Escape = Cancel Record
Enables the ESCAPE (Esc) key to be mapped to the Cancel button.
Final Screen, Return = Update Record
Enables the RETURN key to be mapped to the Next button (next screen in task list) until the final screen of the task list, then it enables the RETURN key to be mapped to the Commit button.
Other Details
Field Tab Stops
Select this check box to enable the TAB key to be used to navigate to the next field.
Right-Click Menu
Select this check box to enable the context-sensitive right-click menu. In fields, Cut/Copy/Paste/Window options are available. In screens, combinations of Add/Change/Delete/Lookup/Insert/Delete Record/Expand/Contract are available.
Maximum Sessions
This field is only available when using the Desktop theme. Enter the maximum number of sessions that are permitted to be open simultaneously. This can be any number up to the absolute maximum which is specified in the Maximum Sessions field in User Level System Fields.
