Print Audit Log
Enables you to create and print audit logs. Audit logs are stored on the system and can be retrieved for reference purposes. Each audit log covers a specified date range.
Note: An audit item can only appear in one log – even where logs have overlapping date ranges.
Selection
Log No
Enter the ID of the audit log that you want to maintain, or select one from the drop-down list.
If the audit log does not exist, a prompt is displayed allowing you to create the new log.
General
From
Enter the date at the start of the period you want to include in the log. If you selected an existing log, this is a display-only field.
To
Enter the date at the end of the period you want to include in the log. If you selected an existing log, this is a display-only field.
Select this check box to print the audit log.
Export
Select this check box to export the audit log to a directory on the ResourceLink server. Select the export file type from the drop-down list. This defaults to XML.
Upon Commit, the audit log is saved in the default data directory on the ResourceLink server.
Two files are created: the audit log .xml file and the data formatting information .bgl file. The .bgl file is not essential. However, it is recommended, that you retain the .bgl file to enable Database Query Tool to import audit log data, without prompting you to specify the query object.
Note: If you want to import an audit log via Database Query Tool, you must transfer the two audit log files to your PC using File Transfer Tool.
