Leave Management - Timesheet Type Definition
Enables you to create timesheet types for leave management absence types, for example, a type could represent a job role. You can then define the potential content for users of the selected timesheet type, including specifying the pay codes available for entry and indicating whether absences can be entered via the timesheet.
Once you have defined your timesheet types, you can link them to a template via Timesheet Template Definition.
Selection
Type ID
Enter the code of the timesheet type that you want to maintain, or select one from the drop-down list.
If the timesheet type does not exist, a prompt is displayed allowing you to create the new type. If you choose to create the new timesheet type, Copy Timesheet Type Details is displayed where you can copy an existing type and amend the details.
Details
Short Desc
Enter a short description of the timesheet type.
Long Desc
Enter a long description of the timesheet type.
Obsolete Date
Enter the date on which this timesheet type becomes obsolete.
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Enter a pay element category code against each day of the week to limit the permitted pay codes, or select one from the drop-down list. The options are set up in the PECAT narrative category. When a user is completing a timesheet of this type, only pay codes within this pay element category may be entered.
Additional
Enter an additional pay element category code for which pay codes are permitted, or select one from the drop-down list. The options are set up in the PECAT narrative category.
Allowable Absence
Click window to display Timesheet Permitted Absence, where you can specify the absence types that can be entered in a timesheet of this type.
Apply Variance Only
Select this check box if you only want to apply variances, or leave this check box blank if you want to apply all hours entered in the employee timesheet.
Timesheet Period Set
Enter a tax period set that you want to associate with the selected timesheet type, or select one by clicking window to display Select Tax Period Set. When a timesheet of this type is generated, the number and dates of the timesheet weeks in a period are brought across from the selected tax period set.
