This screen is only applicable where Irish legislation applies. Enables you to set up and maintain PAYE tax tables and emergency rates. The Revenue Commissioners provide this information. ResourceLink uses this information to calculate employee tax deductions.

Before ResourceLink can calculate tax deductions you must also set up employees’ individual tax details. Use the Ireland Tax Details option to do this.

Selection

Effective Date

Enter the effective date of the tax parameters that you want to maintain, or select one by clicking WINDOW to display Tax Tables.

If the effective date does not exist, a prompt is displayed allowing you to create the new date. If you choose to create the new effective date, Copy Tax Table Version is displayed where you can copy an existing set of parameters and amend the details.

Table Details

This section of the screen lets you enter the earnings bands against the various PAYE tax tables, as specified by The Revenue Commissioners’ P61 document.

Table A, B, R, S

Enter the earnings threshold for each band applicable.

Rate

Enter the percentage tax rate associated with each applicable band. For Tables B and S, the special rate of 0.01 is used so that the system taxes all pay at the higher rate.

Exempt Rates

Enter the percentage tax exemption rate associated with each band.

Table Z Marginal Tax Rate

Enter the percentage rate.

Emergency

This section of the screen lets you enter the tax-free allowances and rates to apply on an emergency basis, as specified by The Revenue Commissioners’ P61 document.

Tax Credit

These fields are displayed if the Effective Date is before 01/01/2019.

Enter the emergency tax-free allowance for weekly and monthly pay frequencies.

Tax Rate

Enter the emergency tax rate for weekly and monthly pay frequencies.

Medical Insurance

Tax Relief Rate

Enter the Medical Insurance Tax Relief rate as a percentage.

Pay Element

Enter the Pay Element ID that corresponds to the Medical Insurance values supplied by the provider, or click window to select one from pay element selection.

Click this button to display Maintain Note Detail, where you can enter any notes or comments you want to record.
