Enables you to maintain various descriptions for a pay element.

General

Alt Desc

Enter an alternative short description of the pay element, which is then used on employee payslips. If you leave this field blank, the short description is used on payslips.

Payslip Group, Group Description

Enter the ID of the payslip group with which this pay element is associated, or select one by clicking WINDOW to display Payslip Group Selection. Payslip groups are set up via Payslip Groups, and can be used to group related pay elements, such as overtime pay elements, on the employee’s payslip.

A description of the selected group is displayed.

Payslip Priority

Enter a priority number for this pay element; this is used to determine the order in which pay elements appear on payslips, as follows:

• Statutory pay elements.
• Pay element groups in group ID order.
• Pay elements with priority set in priority order. If two pay elements have the same priority, they are displayed in pay element number order.
• Any remaining pay elements in number order.

Note: You cannot specify both a payslip group and a payslip priority.

Payslip Languages

Click WINDOW to display Foreign Languages, where you can specify descriptions for the pay element in other languages, which can be used on payslips.
