Submissions Alternative Name and Address
Enables you to record alternative name and address details for an employee which conform to HMRC / Revenue rules on valid characters. The HMRC / Revenue have strict rules concerning the characters used in year-end returns and do not permit the use of diacritical marks such as umlauts or accents.
Note: The alternative name and address details are only used for year-end returns and P14 extracts, and are held separately to the employee’s main name and address details.
Current Name(s)
Surname, Forename, Other Forenames
Display only. The employee's full name.
Address Details
Click window to display View Address where you can view the employee's address details. The employee’s home or contact address is displayed depending on which one is specified as the default address for Filing By Internet (FBI) processing via the MISC > EDI > ADDRESS system parameter.
HMRC / Revenue Alternative Name(s)
Surname
Enter the employee's surname without diacritical marks such as umlauts or accents for use in year-end returns.
Forename
Enter the employee's first name without diacritical marks such as umlauts or accents for use in year-end returns.
Other Forenames
Enter the employee's middle name(s) without diacritical marks such as umlauts or accents for use in year-end returns.
HMRC / Revenue Alternative Address Details
Click window to display Maintain Address Detail, where you can enter address details without diacritical marks such as umlauts or accents.
Navigation Panel Buttons
Copy Curr Names
Click this button to copy the employee's surname, first name and other name(s) from the Current Name(s) section to HMRC / Revenue Alternative Name(s) section. You can then amend the details to remove the restricted characters.
Clear Alternative Data
Click this button to clear all the name and address details held in HMRC / Revenue Alternative Name(s) section.
Copy Curr Addr
Click this button to copy the employee's address from the Current Name(s) section to HMRC / Revenue Alternative Name(s) section. You can then amend the details to remove the restricted characters.
