Rollback Method
Enables you specify the rollback method used. When an additional rollback period is in use, entitlement is calculated using both the standard rollback period and the additional rollback period, and the lowest remaining entitlement for each pay percentage (100%, 50% etc) is used to allocate entitlement.
General
Period Type To Be Used
Enter W or M to indicate whether the period type used to determine the rollback period is weekly or monthly.
Employee Start Date Anniversary
Enter the number of periods to roll back from the employee’s start date anniversary in relation to the absence start year, if this method is used.
Absence Start Date (Linked)
Enter the number of periods to roll back from the linked absence start date.
Absence Start Date (Continuous)
This field is not enabled if the Contiguous Abs of Same Cat field in Rollback Parameters is set to N. Enter the number of periods to roll back from the continuous absence start date.
Absence Start Date (Current)
Enter the number of periods to roll back from the current absence start date.
Each Day As Process
Enter the number of periods to roll back from each day of the absence.
Specific Period
Enter the number of periods to roll back from a specific period, where the specific period is specified in the format of DDMM in relation to the absence start year in the adjacent field.
Use Cont & Exclude Spanning
This field is only enabled if the Specific Period field is populated. Enter Y to calculate the rollback start date as follows for continuous and spanning absences:
- For continuous absences that are after the anniversary date but the continuous start date of the absence is before the anniversary date, the anniversary date prior to the continuous start date (from the previous entitlement year) is used as the rollback start date.
- For continuous absences where the rollback start date occurs during the absence, the spanning absence is excluded from the entitlement calculation and the rollback start date will be after the spanning absence end date.
Extend Rollback Start Date
This check box is not enabled if the Specific Period field is populated. Select this check box to extend the rollback start date to an earlier date where an absence of the same type crosses the start date of the rollback period. This period may be further extended if that absence has earlier (continuous) absences of the same type.
Additional Cap Period
Enter the number of periods to use for the additional rollback period, which is used to cap entitlement. You should then specify additional entitlement periods in Rollback Entitlement - Service Based.
