Working Time Regulation (WTR)
As part of the Working Time Regulation (WTR), the Average Pay functionality enables to you calculate Average Pay values for selected employees. The functionality derives values for the average amount of pay received and the average number of hours worked by an employee during a specified period. These values can be used to generate holiday pay for selected employees using the mnemonics AVP and AVH in the pay element formula.
The following tasks are performed to calculate Average Pay:
- Create and maintain WTR scheme details.
- Associate an employee with a WTR scheme.
- Calculate Average Pay details over a specified period.
- View and amend the calculated average pay details against the employee's post holding via the Misc tab in Employee Post Holding Details.
- Alternatively, if the WTR scheme details have been set up to calculate Average Pay against the employee:
- View and amend the calculated Average Pay details against the employee via Employee Average Pay Details.
- Make payments using calculated values.
- There are two methods of generating payments to an employee using the Average Pay figure: as a fixed percentage of Average Pay, or as a daily rate for Average Pay. You can use the AVP and AVH mnemonics to enable the Average Pay and hours to be used when generating payments to employees.
