Enables you to set up and maintain the coin analysis sets that your organisation needs. Coin analysis sets are used to determine the coins (and bank notes) used for those employees who receive their pay in cash. These coin analysis sets can then be applied to control groups in your organisation.

Before setting up coin analysis sets, you must have set up details of the associated countries, using Country Detail. Details for the United Kingdom are provided as standard on your system.

Coin Analysis Set

Enter the ID of the coin analysis set you want to maintain, or select one by clicking WINDOW to display Select Coin Analysis Set.

If the coin analysis set does not exist, a prompt is displayed allowing you to create the new set.

General

Short, Long Description

Enter abbreviated and full descriptions respectively, to represent this coin analysis set throughout the system.

Country

Enter the ID of the country associated with this coin analysis set, or select one by clicking window to display Country Selection.

Obsolete Date

Enter the date on which this coin analysis set becomes obsolete.

Paging Area

Denomination

Enter the coin denomination, i.e. the individual coin or note, or click WINDOW. The background details for the denominations are maintained using Country Detail.

Description

Display only. The description of the coin denomination is displayed.

Disallow Use

Enter Y to indicate that this coin denomination is not to be used, otherwise enter N. This may be useful if your organisation does not want to issue £50 notes, for example, or if there is a rounding action on employees’ pay being used, whereby employees always receive an exact number of pounds.

Minimum Reqd

If the Disallow Use field is set to N, enter the minimum amount of this coin denomination that can be paid to employees who receive their pay in cash. For example, if you want to make sure that employees paid in cash always receive at least two £5 notes in their pay, enter 2 in the minimum required field. You can enter any number between 0 and 99; with 0 meaning no minimum required.
