Employee Currency Control
Enables you to specify the currency and language in which you want the employee’s pay amounts to be displayed in ResourceLink and printed on the payslip, if this is different to the base currency.
To access this window, enter fast path HREMPALL and select the employee, then select Basic Pay Details > Pay Currency in the navigation panel.
General
Base Currency
Display only. Shows the default currency for displaying pay amounts, as specified for the employee’s payroll control group via Pay Calculation Parameters.
Pay Currency, Payslip Option
These two fields let you set the currency in which the employee is to be paid and how this is printed on the payslip.
The effect of entering a currency in the Pay Currency field depends on your entry in the Payslip Option field:
- If you enter a currency in the Pay
Currency field, and N in
the Payslip Option field:
The employee’s net pay is printed in the entered currency in a message box on the payslip. (All the standard payslip amounts are still printed in the base currency.) In payslip enquiries, when you click the Alt Currency button, amounts are displayed in the alternative currency specified in this field, not as specified in the Foreign Currencies screen.
- If you enter a currency in the Pay
Currency field, and Y in
the Payslip Option field:
The entire payslip is printed in the entered currency. In payslip enquiries, amounts are displayed in this currency when you click the Alt Currency button.
Note: If you enter a pay currency that is different to the base currency, ResourceLink shows the pay method as FORPAY in Summary Analysis and Payslip Enquiries. However, the selected pay method is still displayed in Basic Pay Details.
Payslip language
Enter the ID of the language in which the employee's payslip should be displayed, or select one from the drop-down list.
