Enables you to specify or maintain the employee’s payment categories for spinal point calculation purposes. It is only displayed if you have added payment categories to the grade. Payment categories are added to a grade via the Grade Categories window.

General

Base Cat Pts

Display only. The number of points awarded to the base (incremental) category.

Adnl Cat Points

Display only. The total points awarded for categories other than the base category.

Total Points

Display only. Total points awarded to the employee. This is the sum of Base Cat Pts and Adnl Cat Points.

Bar Point

Display only. The bar point that has been set for the employee's spinal column (the column linked to grade W) via the Grade Spinal Column History window.

Max Point

Display only. The maximum points allowed for the grade, as specified via the Grade Spinal Column History window.

Category

Enter a payment category – for example, Experience, Responsibilities, Excellence. The available codes are set up in the narrative category RSPCAT. You must specify the base category as one of the items in the list.

Code

Enter a sub-category within the category selected – for example, if the Experience category was selected, you might enter Teaching Experience, Non-Teaching Experience, or Qualifications. The available sub-category codes are set up in the narrative category RSPCOD, and linked to the RSPCAT category in a dependency relationship within the dependency module RSPONS.

You must select the incremental sub-category (from RSPCOD) on the same line as the base category (from RSPCAT).

Priority

Display only. The priority determines the order in which ResourceLink adjusts points if the total exceeds the permitted maximum (defined for the grade or category). If this is the case, ResourceLink deducts the points linked to each non-incremental category in turn, until the total no longer exceeds the maximum. It removes the points against the category with the highest priority first, then the next highest and so on, until the total is equal to or less than the maximum for the grade or category. If ResourceLink has adjusted the points awarded for a category, the value in its Pts Payable column is less than that in its Pts Awarded column.

Avl Pts

Display only. The maximum number of points still available for the category.

Pts Awarded

Enter the number of points awarded to the employee for the category. The maximum number you can enter is defined in the Grade Categories window.

Pts Payable

Display only. The number of points to be added to the teacher’s total. If the total points awarded exceed the maximum allowed for the grade or category, this figure might be less than that in the Pts Awarded column.
