Enables you to generate redundancy payments for a selected employee and then make the payment via temporary pay elements. The system calculates payments using the parameters you have set up in Weeks Payable Table Maintenance and Maintain Redundancy Pay Parameters. You can override the system-calculated figures if necessary.

General

Redundancy Date

Enter the date on which the employee’s position becomes redundant.

Date of Birth

Display only. The employee's date of birth.

Original Start Date

Display only. The date when the employee originally started working for your organisation.

Norm Retire Date

Display only. The employee's normal retirement date based on their date of birth and the retirement age. This information allows you to identify employees who are nearing retirement, and for whom a redundancy payment might not be appropriate.

Redundancy Age

Display only. The employee's age, in years and months, on the redundancy date.

Years Service

Display only. The number of completed years service on the redundancy date.

Weekly Pay Rate

Display only. The employee's calculated weekly pay rate. The text 'Limit Applied' is displayed if this amount has been capped according to the weekly pay limit.

Stat Wks Payable

Display only. The number of statutory weeks payable based on the employee's age and their length of service.

Comp Wks Payable

Display only. The actual number of weeks payable based on the statutory weeks payable and the weeks multiplier specified in Redundancy Pay Parameters.

Weeks to NRD

Display only. The number of weeks before the employee's normal retirement date.

Lieu Wks Payable

Display only. The number of weeks payable in lieu of notice based on the employee's length of service and the minimum and maximum lieu weeks figures specified in Redundancy Pay Parameters. One week’s pay is allocated for each year of service and adjusted as necessary to comply with the minimum and maximum allowed.

Redundancy Pay (Taxable)

The calculated and actual taxable redundancy pay amounts, and the difference between them:

Calculated Display only. The calculated taxable redundancy pay based on the actual number of weeks payable and the non-taxable amount.
Payable The actual taxable redundancy pay - this defaults to the calculated amount but you can override it if a different amount is required.
Difference Display only. The difference between the calculated amount and the payable amount.

Redundancy Pay (Ex-Tax)

The calculated and actual non-taxable redundancy pay amounts, and the difference between them:

Calculated Display only. The calculated non- taxable redundancy pay based on the actual number of weeks payable and the maximum non-taxable amount allowed as specified in Redundancy Pay Parameters.
Payable The actual non-taxable redundancy pay - this defaults to the calculated amount but you can override it if a different amount is required.
Difference Display only. The difference between the calculated amount and the payable amount.

Pay in Lieu

The calculated and actual payments in lieu of notice, and the difference between them:

Calculated Display only. The calculated payments in lieu of notice based on the actual number of lieu weeks payable.
Payable The actual payments in lieu of notice - this defaults to the calculated amount but you can override it if a different amount is required.
Difference Display only. The difference between the calculated amount and the payable amount.

Total Payment

Display only. The total redundancy payment based on the above payable amounts.
