PensionsAdministration
The Pensions module has been designed to run as either an integrated part of ResourceLink or as a stand-alone module. It provides comprehensive facilities for member administration, calculating benefit quotations and processing benefits once the member has made choices on the options available.
There are two basic user aspects to the Pensions module.
- Member Administration. Facilities are available to record all aspects of a member’s pension details. This includes member personal details, nominee details, membership periods, scheme details, AVCs, transfers-in, pensionable service, service credits and annuities purchased.
- Benefit Calculations and Progression. Pensions has its own in-built facility for you to develop your own pension calculation routines. These are referred to as Customer Specified Procedures (CSPs). Using CSPs, you can devise whatever benefit calculations are needed and carry out member quotations. These quotations can be viewed and selected for progressing through to a benefits taken stage. A facility for recalculating and reversing benefits taken is also available.
Besides these two core aspects to the Pensions module, important reference routines hold details of the pension schemes, AVCs, pension tables and status codes. These functions are generally used by your system administrator and impose controls on the way your Pensions module operates. These reference routines are described in Pensions Background Information.
