Post Holding
Enables you to set up a post for a new employee.
Depending on your system configuration, a number of fields may be completed automatically when the new post is selected.
Note: If you subsequently revisit the Post Holding tab, the details are display only and cannot be amended. Mistakes can be rectified using the Amend Employee Details menu, Employment option tab. On revisiting the tab, an Add Another Post button is displayed, enabling additional posts to be set up.
General
Post Start
Enter the post start date.
Start Reason
Enter the reason for joining code, or select one from the drop-down list.
Post
Enter the post number, or select it by clicking window to display Post Selection.
Main
Select the Main check box if the new post is the employee’s main post.
Contract End
Enter the contract end date.
Conditions
Enter the service condition code, or select one from the drop-down list.
Position
Enter the position status code, or select one from the drop-down list.
Occupancy
Enter the post occupancy code, or select one from the drop-down list.
Pattern
In the first field, select the new work pattern from the drop-down list.
In the second field, enter the work pattern offset. For example, if the employee starts on the first day of the work pattern, enter 1. If they start on the second day, enter 2, etc.
In the third field, enter a reason to identify why the employee’s work pattern was changed, or click WINDOW and select it in Dependency Selection. Typical reasons are Night Duty, Shift Work, Evenings Only.
Hours
Enter the contract hours for the post.
Location
Enter the location code for the post, or select one from the drop-down list.
Grade
Enter the post grade code, or select one from the drop-down list.
Grade Point
Enter the grade spinal point code, or select one from the drop-down list.
Button
Add Another Post
Displayed on revisiting the Post Holding tab. Enables you to set up additional posts held by the employee.
