Enables you to specify the format of the address used for a specific country. This includes specifying the number of address fields, the labels used for the address fields, the length of the address fields, and the validation used to ensure the address entered is in the correct format.

Note: The address parameters for the UK have already been defined and do not need to be changed, unless a different format is required.

To access this window, enter fast path HR131S1.

General

Country

Enter the code of the country for which you want to maintain address parameters, or select one by clicking window to display Address Country Selection.

If address parameters for the country code do not exist, a prompt is displayed allowing you to create the new parameters. If the country code is invalid, you can select a valid country code by clicking window to display Address Country Selection. If you choose to create the new address parameters, Copy Address is displayed where you can copy address parameters from an existing country and amend the details.

Definition

This section displays the different address lines that are available. The options selected determine which fields are displayed in Maintain Address Details.

Note: MyTeam only currently works with the existing UK address format. If you create an address format that utilises the Municipality and Region address lines, this address format will not be reflected in MyTeam at this time.

Disp

Select this check box if you want this address line displayed.

Mand

Select this check box if this address line is mandatory when completing address details via Maintain Address Details.

Len

Enter the maximum number of characters that can be entered against this address line in Maintain Address Details.

Label

Enter the field label that you want displayed against this address line in Maintain Address Details.

Uppercase

Select this check box if this address line must be in uppercase. If this check box is selected, the corresponding address line is changed to uppercase when address details are entered in Maintain Address Details.

Validation

Municipality

Enter N if you do not want any validation in the Municipality field, W if you want this field validated and a warning displayed if the Municipality does not exist, or E if you want this field validated and an error displayed if the Municipality does not exist.

Region

Enter N if you do not want any validation for the Region field, W if you want this field validated and a warning displayed if the Region does not exist, or E if you want this field validated and an error displayed if the Region does not exist.

Cross Check

Enter N if you do not want any validation for the Municipality and Region combination, W if you want the combination validated and a warning displayed if the combination is not valid, or E if you want this combination validated and an error displayed if the combination is not valid.

Note: If this is set to W, you are warned of an invalid Municipality and Region combination, but can still save the address details, however, if this is set to E, an error is displayed if it is an invalid Municipality and Region combination, and you cannot save the address details without entering a valid combination.

Postal Code Template Id

Enter the name of the template that is used to validate the postcode, or select one by clicking window to display Template Selection. The postcode templates must be defined in Field Template Maintenance.
