Enables you to maintain pay element access levels. The pay element access levels specified also determine the user groups access to monetary tables and spinal columns.

The top section of the window indicates the level of access operators have to all pay elements other than the exceptions listed in the bottom part of the screen.

To access this window, enter fast path HR63S1 to display the Maintain User Group screen. Enter the relevant User Group Code and then select Pay Element from the navigation panel.

0

1

View only. Enables the operator to view pay elements, monetary tables and spinal columns but not add, change or delete.

2

Change and Authorisation. Enables the operator to make changes and create new pay elements, monetary tables and spinal columns but these changes must be authorised. In addition, these operators can make changes made by other operators within their user group.

3

Acceptance Flag

Enter Y if pay element changes are not displayed in the operator's Employee Pay Elements Detail screen until they have been accepted.

Global Acceptance

Enter Y to accept everything, N if you do not want to accept anything at all, or leave blank to obey the acceptance rules defined on the screen. This option should only be used as a temporary measure, if you want to ignore the acceptance restrictions, and accept everything.

Note: If both the Global Acceptance field and the Payroll Indicator in User Group Maintenance are set to Y, you may find that employees are not getting paid as any pay element changes are not taking effect. This combination of settings would mean the Payroll would have to accept every pay element change before it can get into the payrun.
