Enables you to maintain basic details for either a simple user-defined screen or a key dependent user-defined screen.

To access this window, enter fast path HR205S1.

Selection

Screen Ref

Enter the ID of the user-defined screen that you want to maintain, or select one by clicking WINDOW to display Select User Defined Screen.

If the user-defined screen does not exist, a prompt is displayed allowing you to create the new screen.

General

Title

Enter a screen title, which is displayed as the heading at the top of the new screen and also alongside the screen name in a task list.

Object

Enter the ID of the object associated with this screen, which determines the type of information that is going to be entered, or select one by clicking WINDOW to display Select Object. Most user-defined screens tend to be used to record individual staff details and therefore the object used is normally EMPLOYEE

Type

Enter S for simple screen type or enter K for key dependent screen type.

Key Sort Sequence

Only relevant to key dependent screens. Enter D - descending or A - ascending to specify the order in which the lines of data held on the input screen are sorted.

This field links to the Key No field in Maintain User-Defined Field Detail. The field that is identified as Key No 1 is the key field and determines the order in which the lines of data are displayed.

Available for Use

Enter Y to indicate the screen is now available to the operator to begin data input. This should only be set to Y once the screen definition is complete and the screen has been incorporated into a task.

Header Text

Click window to display Maintain User-Defined Screen Header Text, where you can maintain up to three lines of header text.

Date Last Amended

Display only. This field displays the date when the screen was last changed.
