Enables you to control how Alabaster is calculated for this control group.

Alabaster Parameters

Alabaster Ruling

Select this check box to apply Alabaster rules to this control group. When Alabaster is enabled you must select either the Rate Based Increase check box or the Fixed PE checkbox. If the Rate Based Increase check box is left blank the Fixed PE checkbox will be checked automatically. If this check box is blank, you can optionally complete the Fixed PEs check box.

Rate Based Increase

Select this check box to indicate that the pay increase is based on a rate. This can either be via the Employee Rates Without Post screen or fixed pay elements. If this is not checked and Alabaster is enabled it will be assumed that the pay increase is based on normal pay.

Fixed PEs

If Alabaster is enabled, select this check box to indicate that the pay increased should be calculated via fixed pay elements. If the Rate Based Increase field is checked this field is optional, otherwise it is mandatory and will automatically be selected. If Alabaster is not enabled and this field is checked it will indicate that parental leave normal pay should be calculated from fixed pay elements rather than payslip history.

Earnings Category

Enter the ID of the earnings pay element category that triggers Alabaster, or select one by clicking window to display Select Pay Element Category. An Alabaster recalculation trigger is generated each time the amount of a pay element within this category is changed.

Note: Separate earnings categories should be used for normal and rate pay elements. Only one method of calculating a pay rise can be applied to a control group.

Proportional Increase

Select this check box to indicate that the average pay increase should be calculated by the proportional difference between the old and new values. If left blank the average pay increase will be calculated based on the actual value difference between the values.

If the rate based field is checked this field will be populated automatically and cannot be changed. Rate based calculations can only be calculated via the proportional method.
