Default Attainments
Enables you to set up a list of default attainments for a job-related object. Attainments are essential or desired skills and qualifications. You can link default attainments to the job-related objects, such as job or career development scheme.
Before you can set up an attainment, you must use the Maintain Dependency Relationships facility to set up the dependent narrative codes for the groups, subjects, types and grades within each attainment. This facility also lets you give each attainment a score expressing its value to your organisation.
To access this window, enter fast path HRPOST or HRJOB and select Default Attainments from the navigation panel.
Paging Area
Group
Enter the group code to which the attainment is linked, e.g. qualification, skill, language, or select one by clicking WINDOW to display Narrative Category Search.
Subject
Enter the code of a subject within the attainment group, or select one by clicking WINDOW to display Dependency Selection. The subjects listed are only those associated with the group selected in the previous field.
Type
Enter the code of an attainment type within the attainment group, or select one by clicking WINDOW to display Dependency Selection. The types listed are those associated with the group selected.
Grade
Display only. The grade or level of ability required.
Detail
Click WINDOW to display Default Attainment Detail, where you can enter further details about the default attainment.
Essential
Display only. Indicates if it is essential for employees to have this particular qualification or skill.
Score
Display only. The score associated with the attainment, as set up in Default Attainment Detail. This may be blank if a score has not been set up using Maintain Dependency Relationships.
Priority
Display only. The priority of the attainment, as set up in Default Attainment Detail.
Notes
Display only. Indicates whether any notes have been entered about the default attainment in Default Attainment Detail.

Click this button to display Attainment Transfers, where you can link attainments from other sources to the object item currently selected.
