Enables you to set up or maintain narrative codes in dependency relationships for a dependency module. You do this by grouping child narrative codes under parent codes at different levels.

Before using this option, you should have previously:

• Created the narrative codes you want to group, using Maintain Narrative Category Codes.
• Specified parent and child narrative categories, and the relationships between them, using Maintain Dependency Relationships.

First, you select the module for which you want to maintain dependencies – for example, absence calendar, appraisals, attainments. Next, you select a top level category as a starting point for grouping codes.

To access this screen, enter fast path HR117S1.

General

Dependency Module

Enter the module for which you want to set up or maintain dependencies, or select one from the drop-down list. The options are set up in the DEPMOD narrative category.

Top Level Category

Enter a top level category for which you want to maintain dependencies or select one by clicking window to display Top Level Category Selection.

Once you have selected the category, Top Level Dependency Codes is displayed for you to select narrative codes for the selected category.
