Enables you to create and update pop-up fields, which allows you to insert variable information that is not held in standard ResourceLink fields into standard letters and emails.

Examples of the use of pop-up fields for information that would not normally be held on ResourceLink:

The pop-up fields you create are displayed in the Pop-Up Fields folder in Standard Letters Insert Selection where you can insert them in a letter, or Selected Insert Details where you can insert them in an email template.

Selection

Dictionary

Enter the ID of the dictionary for which you want to maintain pop-up fields, or select a dictionary from the drop-down list. The options available are set up in narrative HUMOBJ.

Paging Area

Field Name

Display only. The name of the pop-up field.

Additional

Click EXPAND to display the following fields:

Desc

Display only. A description of the selected pop-up field.

Conversion

Enter the conversion code you want to use to format this pop-up field, or select one from the drop-down list. The options are set up in the STDLCT narrative category and described in more detail in Case Conversion. You can override this conversion code, if required, when including this field in an email template using Selected Insert Details.

Prompt

Description of the field that you want to appear in the pop-up field selection window. The selection window is displayed when you request a letter containing the pop-up field.

Dflt Value

ResourceLink displays this value for the pop-up field when you request a letter, but you can override it by a different value if required.
