Enables you to link a succession plan to a post you want to fill. Succession planning enables your organisation to identify one or more potential successors for any specified post which may become vacant in the future, and to track the progress of those individuals against the criteria set for that post.

You can link more than one succession plan to a post if appropriate. It might be appropriate to do this if you want to specify various types of work experience as a prerequisite for certain posts. In such a case, each succession plan will provide a different type of work experience the post-holder must possess.

From this screen you can view the employees who have been entered on the various succession plans for the post. For any employee you can compare the required (default) attainments for a plan with those actually achieved. Thus you can track the progress of likely candidates for the post and determine those who are currently suitable for it.

To access this window, enter fast path HRPOST and select Post Succession Plan from the navigation panel.

Enter the code for the required plan or select one by clicking WINDOW to display Succession Plan Selection.

Plan Description

Display only. The description of the selected succession plan.

Date

Enter the date when the plan was attached to the post.

Employee Detail

Click WINDOW to display Succession Plan Employees, where you can enter details of employees against the plan for this specific post.

Notes

Click window to display Maintain Note Detail, where you can enter any notes or comments you want to record.

Additional

Click expand to display the main plan details and descriptions, as entered in Maintain Succession Plan.
