Enables you to define the different employment checks that are available. These checks can then be attached to employees, applicants and external people using Individual Employment Checks and posts using Post Employment Checks.

Selection

Check Type

Enter the ID of the employment check type that you want to maintain, or select one from the drop-down list.

If the employment check type does not exist, a prompt is displayed allowing you to create the new type.

General

Description

Enter a description of the employment check category.

Registration Body

Enter the registration body that governs the employment check category, or select one from the drop-down list. The options are set up in the REGBDY narrative category.

Registration Type

Enter the type of registration applicable to the employment check category, or select one from the drop-down list. The options are set up in the REGTYP narrative category.

Authorisation

Select this check box if the employment check requires authorisation.

Check Levels

Start Date

Enter the start date of the employment check category, or select one from the drop-down list. You can have a number of different start dates for a single employment check category, which enables you to maintain different sets of employment checks for a single category.

Paging Area

Level

Enter the level of the employment check, or select one from the drop-down list. The options are set up in the CHKLVL narrative category.

Desc

Display only. The description of the selected employment check level.

Ren Type

Enter the type of renewal frequency associated with this employment check, for example, M for x number of months, or select one from the drop-down list. The options are set up in the RENTYP narrative category.

Desc

Display only. The description of the selected renewal frequency.

Freq

Enter the renewal frequency period associated with this employment check. This field is used in conjunction with the Ren Type field, for example, if you enter 02 in this field, and Ren Type is set to Years, this check must be renewed every two years.

Reg Req

Select this check box if employment registration is required. If registration is required, a relevant registration number will need to be entered when completing a employment check against an employee or external person.

No of Refs

Enter the number of registration numbers required for this employment check. The maximum you can enter is 2.

Obsolete Date

Enter the date on which this employment check becomes obsolete.
