Employee Absence Periods
Displays the periods in which the temporary pay will be posted. You can amend the payroll periods, if required.
Note: In a situation whereby the absence extends over more than one payroll period, the absence is split accordingly and a pay element is posted for each split.
General
Absence From, To
Display only. The date when the absence started to the date when the absence finished.
Last Paid
Display only. The date when the employee was last paid.
Details
Year
The year in which the temporary pay will be posted, you can amend this if necessary.
Period
The period in which the temporary pay will be posted, you can amend this if necessary.
PE Id
Display only. The ID of the pay element used to make the payment.
Amount Paid
Display only. The total amount paid.
Contra
Display only. The ID of the pay element used to make the contra payment.
Contra Amount
Display only. The total contra amount paid.
Start Date, End Date
Display only. The start and end date of the absence period.
The pay elements detailed in this screen are created when you EXIT out of this screen, and the status of the absence is updated to one of the following:
- Complete - Recorded - For all entitlement types when you record an absence rather than pay it in Process Absence.
- Complete - Paid - For all entitlement types when you pay an absence in Process Absence and pay elements are created with amounts.
- Complete - Processed - For all entitlement types when you pay an absence in Process Absence, where payment is due but there is not enough entitlement to make a payment.
- Awaiting Payroll Process - For entitlement types Actual and Accrual when the absence end date is greater than the last calculated date, as shown in Absence Daily Detail (2).
