Future Absence Reassignment
Enables you to specify how future-dated absences are processed when a post change occurs or an employee is terminated. Absences are displayed where they:
- span or occur after the post end date when a post is end-dated in Employee Post Holding Details, or a new post is created which results in an existing post being end-dated.
- span or occur after the employment end date when an employee is terminated via Employment Detail. All affected absences are then re-processed up to the employee's end date.
Note: If you delete an absence that spans the post end date, you should re-enter the absence manually up to the post end date.

New Post
Select the new post to which the absence should be moved or split between, if a move or split action has been selected. If the old post was a main post, the new post must also be a main post; if the old post was a non-main post, the new post can be a main or non-main post.
Additional
Click expand to display the start and end times of the absence period.
Click continue to perform the selected actions and display Output Selection, where you can select the report output options and print the Employee Leave at Post End Report that confirms the actions taken.
When the selected actions are processed, any affected entitlements are updated and any payments recovered. The new absence created as a result of the move or split action is created as an unprocessed absence against the new post.
