Enables you to maintain bank account details.

Note: If financial details are mandatory for the area of the system that you are in, you must enter new financial details before you can commit.

Branch

Note: The Sort Code and BIC fields are mutually exclusive; the field that is enabled depends on the employee's payment method.

Sort Code

Enter the sort code of the required bank and branch, or select one by clicking WINDOW to display Financial Institution Look-up.

Note: If the employee’s account is a building society account, and has a roll number instead of a bank account number, enter the building society’s clearing bank sort code.

Note: If you enter a sort code that exists in more than one country, Duplicate Financial Institution Look-up is displayed to enable you to select the correct instance of the sort code.

BIC

Click WINDOW to display BIC Look-Up, where you can select a financial institute by Business Identification Code (BIC).

Bank Name, Branch

The bank and branch that corresponds to the selected sort code are displayed, and the cursor skips past these fields. You can amend these details, if required, by entering the appropriate code or selecting one from the drop-down list. The options are set up in the FINAME narrative category. The sort code is updated automatically to reflect the new bank or branch you have selected.

Country Id

Display only. The country code applicable to the selected financial institution.

Account

Account No

Enter the employee’s bank account number. Alternatively, if the employee’s account is a building society account, and has a roll number instead of a bank account number, enter the number of the building society’s account with its clearing bank.

Note: For Girobank codes, that is, sort codes starting with ‘72’, replace the last digit of the sort code with the first digit of the account code. For example, if the Girobank sort code is ‘720000’ and the account code is ‘12345678’, the sort code becomes ‘720001’ which leaves an account code of ‘23456789’.

Account Name

Enter the name of the employee’s bank account, up to 20 characters, for example ‘MR JB SMITH’. The default account name is the title, initials and surname of the employee you are processing. Alternatively, if the employee’s account is a building society account, and has a roll number instead of a bank account number, enter the name of the building society’s account with the clearing bank.

Account Type

Enter the code of the account type or select one from the drop-down list. The options are set up in the FACTYP narrative category.

IBAN

Enter the employee’s international bank account number.

Note: The first two characters of an employee's IBAN must be alphabetic.

Building Society

B/Soc Roll No

Enter the employee’s building society roll number (account number), if applicable.

Buttons

B/Soc Details

Click this button to display Building Society Account Maintenance, where you can enter details of the building society branch to which payments are made.

User Fields

Click this button to display Simple User-Defined Field Data if user-defined fields have been set up by your system administrator. These are extra fields used to record additional information that are specific to your organisation.

EFT Codes

Click this button to display EFT Analysis Codes where you can enter the analysis codes associated with the bank account, for the selected control group, third-party or employee.

Delete Bank Acct

Click this button to delete the currently displayed bank account details.

History

This button is only displayed when this window is accessed via Basic Pay Detail, Employee Net Pay Splits, Maintain Employee Expense Details, Miscellaneous Pay Element Detail or Member Detail. Click this button to display Bank Account History, where you can view a history of employee bank detail changes.
