Enables you to maintain work permit details against an employee. You can enter more than one set of work permit details against an employee, providing the date entered in the Proof of ID field is unique.

Before you can maintain work permit details, you must ensure the Additional Details field against the NATCIT narrative category is set to allow three alphanumeric characters. This field should then be used to store one of the following areas codes against the nationality/citizenship:

Note: The nationality / citizenship specified against the employee in Equal Opportunities must match one of the above area codes, otherwise work permit details cannot be maintained against the employee.

Paging Area

Area

Display only. The area code associated with the nationality / citizenship specified against the employee in Equal Opportunities.

Proof of ID

Enter the date when the proof of ID was seen by the employer.

Note: If the entry in the Area field is EEA, the following fields are not mandatory.

Registered

Enter the date when the employee registered with the Home Office.

ILR (Indefinite Leave to Remain)

Enter Y if the employee has been granted indefinite leave to remain in the country.

Date Obtained

Enter the date when the employee was granted indefinite leave to remain in the country.

WP Valid From

Enter the date from which the work permit is valid.

WP Valid To

Enter the date up to which the work permit is valid.

Extended To

Enter the date up to which the work permit has been extended.

Work Permit / Visa No.

Enter the employee's work permit / visa number. This must be unique, unless the Duplicate Work Permit check box is selected, which is accessed via the 'User Control' option, followed by the 'User Pay/Personnel' option in System Control Maintenance.

Home office letter issued

Enter Y if the Home Office letter has been issued.
