Enables you to enter and update equal opportunity data for human objects including employees and applicants. The details held here are used to monitor equal opportunities within your organisation.

To access this window, enter fast path HREMPALL and select Equal Opportunities from the navigation panel.

General

Legal Sex, Gender Identity, Marital Status, Date of Birth, Age, Current Start, Service

Display only. Personal details about the employee, which are retrieved from Personal Details and Employment Details.

Gender Identity is retrieved from Additional Equal Opportunities, and will display the Self-Describe Gender Identity if Gender Identity is Prefer to self-describe. This field is displayed for UK, Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey legislation types only.

Details

Ethnic Origin

Enter an ethnic origin code or select one from the drop-down list. The options are set up in the ETHNIC narrative category.

Note: If the MISC > HESA > ETHNIC system parameter has been set, the narrative category specified will be used. If the ETHNIC HESA system parameter for HESA is populated, the narrative category specified is used instead.

Country of Birth

Enter a country of birth code or select one from the drop-down list. The options are set up in the CNTRYB narrative category.

Religion

Enter a religion code or select one from the drop-down list. The options are set up in the RLGION narrative category.

Note: If the RELBLF HESA system parameter for HESA is populated, the HEROB narrative category is used instead.

Nationality/Citizenship

Enter a nationality or citizenship code or select one from the drop-down list. The options are set up in the NATCIT narrative category. The value in this field will also be reflected on the Passport/Visa Details window.

Note: If the MISC > HESA > NATION system parameter has been set, the narrative category specified will be used. If the NATION HESA system parameter for HESA is populated, the narrative category specified is used instead.

Nationality/Citizenship 2

Enter a second nationality or citizenship code or select one from the drop-down list to record dual nationalities. The options are set up in the NATCIT narrative category. This field will only be enabled if Nationality/Citizenship contains a value. The value in this field will also be reflected on the Passport/Visa Details window.

Note: If the MISC > HESA > NATION system parameter has been set, the narrative category specified will be used. If the NATION HESA system parameter for HESA is populated, the narrative category specified is used instead.

Occupational Group

Enter an occupational classification code or select one from the drop-down list. The options are set up in the OCCCLA narrative category.

Note: The occupational group is for Northern Ireland fair employment legislation. Do not enter a HESA code.

Sexual Orientation

Enter a sexual orientation code, or select one from the drop-down list. The options are set up in the SEXORI narrative category.

Note: If the SEXORT HESA system parameter for HESA is populated, the HESO narrative category is used instead.

Self-Describe Sexual Orientation

This field is enabled if Prefer to self-describe is selected in the Sexual Orientation field. Enter up to 40 characters. This field is only displayed for UK, Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey legislation types.

Residency Status

This field is only displayed for Isle of Man employees. Enter a residency status code, or select one from the drop-down list. The options are set up in the RESSTT narrative category.

Personal Dets

First Aider

Enter Y if the person is a qualified first aider.

Buttons

User Fields

Click this button to display Simple User-Defined Field Data if user-defined fields have been set up by your system administrator. These are extra fields used to record additional information that are specific to your organisation.

Notes

Click this button to display Maintain Note Detail, where you can enter any notes or comments you want to record.

Health Details

Click this button to display Person Health Details, where you can enter information about any disabilities, incapacity or special aids relating to the person.

Special Aids

Click this button to display Special Aids Required, where you can record any special aids or specialist equipment the person uses – for example, wheelchair, walking stick.

Incapacity

Click this button to display Illness or Incapacity Reasons, where you can record any incapacity or serious illness resulting in incapacity.

Work Adaptations

Click this button to display Work Adaptations Required, where you can record details of any work adaptations required by the person.

Additional Details

Click this button to display Additional Equal Opportunities, where you can record additional equal opportunity details. This button is only available to UK, Ireland, Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey legislation types.
