Enables you to assign the latest course status code to a candidate. Course status codes are used to indicate the current situation for a candidate’s course request as it passes through different stages.

Note: Before assigning statuses to candidates, the different statuses must be defined via Status Set Maintenance.

All statuses have a priority associated with them to indicate the order in which they should be assigned. For example, a status that is assigned to a candidate when a course is requested for them has a low priority, e.g. 10. Later statuses, such as ‘Course Allocated’, have a medium priority, e.g. 40. Statuses assigned to candidates when their course is complete, such as ‘Course Completed’, have a high status, e.g. 90.

Note: If a default result value has been assigned to the new training status, the Main/Reserve/Cancel and Result fields in Course Attendees, and the Result field in Training Details are automatically updated according to the result value specified for the new training status.
