Sickness Detail
Displayed from Attendance Detail when you click Window in the Detail field. It enables you to enter further information about the sickness absence, including the sickness type, and certification and notification details.
To access this window, enter fast path HREMPALL, select Absence Details from the navigation panel and window in to the Detail field.
General
Start Date, End Date, Days
Display only. These details are obtained from Attendance/Absence.
Absence Reason
Sickness Type
Specify the type of sickness by entering a sickness type code or selecting a code from the drop-down list. The options are set up in the SCKTYP narrative category.
Reason
Specify a sickness reason by entering a code or selecting a code from the drop-down list. The options are set up in the SCKRSN narrative category.
Reason Detail
Specify the reason detail by entering a code or selecting a code from the drop-down list. The options are set up in the SCKCAT narrative category.
Note: Using Maintain Dependency Relationships you can link reason detail codes to specific reason codes. This means that you can group reason detail codes under sickness reason categories. If you do this, the drop-down list for Reason Detail displays only codes that are applicable to the sickness category entered in the Reason field.
Cause
Specify the cause of the sickness by entering a code or selecting a code from the drop-down list. The options are set up in the ABSIND narrative category.
Interview Date
This field is only enabled if an absence end date has been entered. Enter the date of the return to work interview, which must be on or after the absence end date.
Absence Detail
Certification
Certification refers to the notification and evidence produced as explanation of the employee’s sickness and absence. Enter the certification type or select a type from the drop-down list. The options are set up in the CERTTP narrative category.
Expiry Date
If a doctor’s certificate is provided as evidence of the employee’s illness, it is usually only valid for a certain period, after which it expires (i.e. it no longer serves as evidence of sickness). Enter the expiry date.
Due Date
If a doctor’s certificate has been provided, enter the date when a new certificate must be issued.
Hurt at Work
Enter Y If the employee’s absence is due to an illness or injury received at work.
Status
Entry Status
Display only. Shows one of the following statuses:
Absence |
Absence has been recorded, but no detail. |
Sick Period |
Sickness detail has been recorded in the Sickness Detail screen. |
Entitlement |
Entitlement patterns have been calculated in SSP/OSP Qualifying Days. |
Complete |
Sickness period has been processed. Calculations are complete. |
Buttons
Exclusion Codes
Click this button to display Exclusion Code History, where you can select date-effective reasons to exclude the employee from receiving SSP and view a history of exclusion reason codes.
Notification
Click this button to display Sickness Notification Detail, enabling you to enter information about the notification of the sickness absence.
Hours Lost
Enabled only after generating sickness payments for the selected sickness period. Click this button to display SSP/OSP Qualifying Days, enabling you to view the sickness and work patterns for the period, and amend the hours worked if necessary. Any amendments to hours worked are only used for enquiry and reporting purposes and do not effect the sickness payments for the period.
Claim Detail
Click this button to display Sickness Claim Detail. If the employee is making a claim against your organisation as a result of their illness/injuries e.g. an insurance claim.
Daily Detail
Enabled when the Entry Status is Complete. Click this button to display Sickness Daily Detail with details for each day of the sickness period.
Notes
Click this button to display Maintain Note Detail, where you can enter any notes or comments you want to record.
Proceed
Enabled when the Entry Status is Absence, Sick Period or Entitlement. Click this button to display SSP/OSP Qualifying Days.
Exit
Click this button to return to Attendance/Absence.
