Work Pattern Override
Enables you to view the work pattern details that have been calculated for the holiday absence period. This shows working and non-working days for each date in the absence period. If the employee has deviated from the expected work pattern and the details displayed are incorrect, you can override them with the correct details. This enables the system to calculate the holiday entitlement remaining correctly.
To calculate the working pattern for a holiday period, the system uses the employee’s basic work pattern, set up using Work Pattern Detail.
The system looks for a work pattern at each of the following sources in turn, and uses the first one it finds:
- Work pattern in Maintain Employee Holiday Basic Detail.
- Work pattern in Employee Post Holding Details - Conditions tab.
- Work pattern in Employee Detail Without Post.
Having calculated the work pattern for a holiday period, the system can distinguish between rest days, and days that must be taken as holiday. In this way it can calculate the correct number of days holiday used, and the number remaining.
