User Pay/Personnel
Enables you to view and maintain the user level pay and personnel fields.
General
Default NI Code
Display only. The default National Insurance code used when adding a new starter. Maintained in Maintain Default Parameters.
Under 21
Display only. The National Insurance category code for any employees under the age of 21. Maintained in Maintain Default Parameters.
Default Tax Code
Display only. The default tax code used when adding a new starter. Maintained in Maintain Default Parameters.
Default Period 1 Basis
Display only. Displays Y if the default tax code is applied on a period 1 basis. Maintained in Maintain Default Parameters.
Default Payment Method
Display only. The default payment method used when adding a new starter. Maintained in Maintain Default Parameters.
Default Start Reason
Display only. The default start reason used when adding a new starter. Maintained in Maintain Default Parameters.
Default Work Pattern
Display only. The default work pattern used when adding a new starter. Maintained in Maintain Default Parameters.
Divorced Marital Status Code
Display only. The code used to represent the divorced marital status. This is used to determine National Insurance category eligibility. Maintained in Maintain Default Parameters.
Duplicate NI Number Flag
Display only. Displays Y if duplicate National Insurance numbers are allowed to be used with a warning, N if duplicate numbers are prevented altogether, or A if duplicate numbers are allowed to be used without a warning being displayed. Maintained in Maintain Default Parameters.
Temporary NI Number Flag
Display only. Displays one of the following:
- N if the National Insurance number field is allowed to be blank
- Y if generating a temporary number with the standard UK format, TNXXXXXXS, is allowed for UK users
- R if generating a dummy PRSI number in the format 0000000Z is allowed for users in Ireland
- C if users are allowed to choose between UK and Ireland numbers (for use with mixed UK and Irish payrolls)

Waiting Status
Display only. The default waiting list status code, which is used in the Training and Recruitment modules.
Off Waiting Status
Display only. The default off waiting system code which is used in the Training and Recruitment modules.
Default Start Time
Enter a default start time. Used for absence input where session times could not be determined.
Default End Time
Enter a default end time. Used for absence input where session times could not be determined.
Current Employee Search Type
Enter one of the following to set the default in the Current Employee field in Finding People when using the FIND task:
- Y - Current employees
- N - Non-current employees
- A - Any employees
- L - Leavers
- D - Deleted employees
Payroll Exception Name Report
Click window to display the Translation Window, where you can maintain translations of the default text in multiple languages.
Duplicate Work Permit
Enter Y to allow duplicate work permit numbers to be entered in Employee Work Permits for rejoiners.
Duplicate CoS Nos.
Select the check box to allow duplicate certificate of sponsorship numbers, which are maintained in Passport / Visa Details.
Create Spinal for new Con Hrs
Select this check box if a corresponding spinal point amount record should be automatically created when a new contract hours record is added. A new contract hours record can be added via Employee Contract Hours (unless the contract hours relate to a protected grade), the HR Interface or MyView.
Use Current Date for LOS parameters
Select this check box to generate long service anniversary dates using the long service parameters that are associated with the employee's service conditions that are effective as of the current date. Leave blank to continue to use the long service parameters that are associated with the employee's service conditions that are effective as of their start date. The default parameter set is used in both scenarios if the employee's service conditions are not attached to a long service parameter set.
Note: The employee's start date is used if it is future-dated regardless of whether this check box is selected or not.
